Lawyer talks Roosevelt building renovation, residents show inside – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – Dozens of former residents of the Roosevelt Building in downtown Pittsburgh are moving out. Their building was condemned after a deadly fire.

Many said they had nowhere to go.

An attorney representing Roosevelt said the smoke and water damage was extensive and that reconstruction would begin Jan. 16. All work is expected to be completed in about six months, he says.

Neighbors say that they have been forced to leave their homes and have to leave their hotel rooms in 2 days.

“We are homeless,” said resident Cindy Miller.

Channel 11 will share their interactions with property management when residents share a look inside the building on WPXI tonight at 11 p.m.
