New Delhi:
Jewellery, cash, expensive watches were among the items stolen from the Delhi High Court lawyer’s home in one of the capital’s most expensive real estate areas.
Vakil Apartment is located in Kings Park Court CR, a very nice neighborhood. The robbery happened when the lawyer was away in Thailand with his family.
The burglars, numbering between 3 and 4, climbed over the walls to enter the community compound, surveillance footage shows. The police have filed a case and the investigation is ongoing.
The robbery took place between December 23 and 26 while the family was out of the country.
Police said several people have been arrested for questioning.
Senior police officer Chandan Choudhary said, “The complaint in the incident was filed by the lawyer’s uncle, Harjit Singh. He said in the complaint that the caretaker of the house, Pradeep, after entering the flat, noticed that things were scattered around.”
