FTX Co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried will fight being sent to the US where prosecutors have charged him with perpetrating a years-long fraud.

During his first court appearance since being arrested in the Bahamas on Monday, Bankman-Fried said that he wouldn’t waive his right to an extradition hearing. His lawyers also argued that he should be released on bail in island nation, where he has been living.

Dressed in a blue suit and white shirt for the arraignment proceedings, Bankman-Fried at times appeared shaky and fidgety. His parents were present in the courtroom.
